Dassault Systemes' 3DVIA announced the last week a brand new version of it's central software suite. According to the press release, the new 3DVIA Virtools 5 features updates that significantly ease the development process and will make delivering high-quality 3D projects faster than ever.

Among the key improvements :

• the quick and easy transition from DCC software to 3D engine development.
• Lua integration
• blend shape support
• improved usability
• easy object manipulation
• new asset libraries

This new version, that, another press release states, will include XBox 360 support, should be presented at the upcoming GDC.
