IPL, operating mainly in Germany, has developed a round cave system, built up from commercially available standard-hardware components and presenting 75% less expenses compared to other available solutions. Reinforced with Bitmanagement's 3D stereo software, they plan to propose their technology to smaller companies, ranging from medical surgical preparation, design studies and construction details, presentation of prototypes to facility planning, architecture and the creation of virtual models in the construction and plant engineering area, that were up to now unable to bear the cost of such a complex installation.

Reportedly, the partners have agreed upon an online distribution model (besides the conventional one). The customer will receive a complete assembly instructions, along with the information of how to purchase the necessary hardware. The online availability of the software is understood.

Will it get even cheaper? A cave in your garage, one day?
