Bobba, Pocketsize Virtual World
Sulake, previously known as the editor of the "hangout" virtual world Habbo, launched today a mobile version of the product conceived exclusively for mobile devices.
Bobba, or the Pocketsize Virtual World, is currently in Beta, and is available for Nokia S60 users only. Announced ("soon") for iPhone and iPod, it obviously aims to generalize the presence on the mobile market. Not too much information or media is available for the moment, but it seems that it will have similar look and feel as its older brother (Habbo, of course).
It's still not a tendency, but we can observe this event in the context of the struggle to publish the first of a kind mobile virtual world. Tokyo based Genkii revealed several days ago the IM component of Sparkle, an application they are developing to allow iPhone users to connect to Second Life. IM only, but still building!
